Leo Perutz (1882–1957) was an Austrian writer of the "Prague School" of Expressionism, whose name rightfully stands alongside the greats Franz Kafka and Gustav Meyrink. Having experienced a moment of international fame in the 1920s thanks to his novels "The Master of the Last Judgment" (1923) and "Oh, Apple, Where Are You Rolling..." (1928), which were translated into many languages, he found himself on the periphery of literary life for a long time in the 1930s, after the Nazis came to power. It is known that he lived primarily on royalties from translations of his books in Latin America, where they were ardently promoted by Borges.
The author's latest book includes two novels.

The setting of the novel "Nights under the Stone Bridge" is Prague in the 16th and 17th centuries, where all 14 stories take place.

"The Snow of St. Peter" is a novel with mysterious events, enigmatic twists and a completely unexpected ending.
