A Gentleman in Moscow

It is dangerous to be a poet - especially after the revolution. Count Alexander Rostov is court-martialed in 1922 for a long-written poem. Instead of capital punishment, the Count is sent to an extremely unusual exile - in the Metropol Hotel, which he has no right to leave. Not at all. The owner of a large estate, who has never worked in his life, now Count Rostov must adapt and survive in new conditions, watching the most terrible, pivotal events in our history. Gradually, Rostov realizes that gentlemen are not ex-gentlemen.
