This book is a logical continuation of I.V. Zimin's previously published work, "The Alexander Palace in Tsarskoye Selo." The focus on the history of the Alexander Park, with its numerous structures and pavilions, is motivated by the fact that the park and palace form a single space within the imperial country residence, and studying the history of one without considering the other is inappropriate. The history of the Alexander Park has deeper roots than that of the Alexander Palace. All the emperors and empresses who lived in Tsarskoye Selo from the early 18th century lovingly and diligently developed their residences and parks. As a result, a whimsical fusion of architectural fantasies and preferences emerged within the Alexander Park, revealing not only the talent of the architects but also a reflection of the personal passions of the Russian monarchs.
